i love school. but, in an ideal world, i would just take classes, learn interesting things, retain the knowledge, but NEVER have tests. unfortunately, san diego state university doesn’t share the same philosophy as me… which has brought me to another season of final exams. i have five finals in the next two weeks and i’m not looking forward to them one little bit.
now, i don’t have any actual data to prove this statement is true, but rather than studying, i find that reading motivational quotes helps me succeed. and so, for those of you who are just like me, here are a few to help you get through your tougher times.
- what is not started today is never finished tomorrow.
-johann wolfgang von goethe (german playwright)
- age wrinkles the body. quitting wrinkles the soul.
-douglas macarthur (american general)
- people often say that motivation doesn’t last. well neither does bathing–that’s why we recommend it daily.
-zig ziglar (american motivational speaker)
- success is going from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm.
-winston churchill (british orator)
well.. mini confession, reading motivational quotes doesn’t exactly just BAM make me succeed… but it definitely pushes me to pick up that darn book covered in dust, log off of facebook for a few hours, turn down invitations to go out, and get excited to do well. i’m so close to the end of the semester, so close to a new adventure.. in the beautiful words of dory from finding nemo… “just keep swimming.”
if you’re lucky enough to find motivation in life, you’re lucky enough
